About

I was born in Norfolk and trained as a teacher in Sussex, where I first started potting (and got hooked!). After working in potteries in Nottingham, I moved to Chester to study the nuts and bolts of running a small pottery business before coming home to Norfolk to set up a workshop in my parents' garage.

Since then, I have run workshops in Knapton, North Walsham and Thorpe Market before moving to Wroxham Barns Craft Centre in 1989. After 27 years at the Barns I have decided to move on and work in a different way from my workshop at home. I will still be making house name plates to order, please see the house plaque page for details. I will also still be making the Skye design, extending the range with some new ideas. Keep an eye open for where I'll be selling.

I make anything in clay, from large clay pots and vases to specially designed house name plates, with each process carried out by hand, ensuring that every item is unique. For more information on the full range of designs - now available to order through the website - and other pottery: see the House Name Plates and Pottery pages.

Some of my sculptures will be featured in the Hoveton Hall Sculpture Trail throughout July and August. See Events page

If you would like to order a name plate with a particular design you may do so via the printable order form, or contact me by phone or email to discuss your requirements. I will also be expanding my teaching practice (email for more details).
